QR codes turn a printed flyer, business card, product label, or shop window into a tap-free link. Adding your logo to the center makes the code unmistakably yours and builds trust - people are far more likely to scan a branded code than an anonymous black-and-white square.
QR codes have built-in error correction. This generator uses the highest level (H), which helps recover damaged data. Recovery percentages refer to codewords, not a safe percentage of the image to cover. A center logo can still interfere with scanning: keep it small, preserve the quiet zone and test the final PNG or SVG with a phone before publishing.
No. These are static QR codes that encode your link directly, so they never expire and don't depend on any third-party service.
Yes - unlimited codes, no sign-up, no watermark, generated privately in your browser.
This generator creates static QR codes at error-correction level H — the highest level, able to recover roughly 30% of codewords — so a centred logo has the best chance of scanning. The other settings decide whether that margin is enough.
| Setting | Safe choice | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Logo size | 15–25% (default 22%) | Covers only data modules in the centre and leaves error correction for real-world damage |
| Background pad | On | Gives the logo a clean edge so scanners are not confused by logo pixels touching modules |
| Quiet zone | 4 modules | The blank margin scanners need to find the code’s edges |
| Colours | Dark foreground, light background | Inverted or low-contrast codes fail on some phones |
| Export | SVG for print, PNG 1024 px+ for screens | SVG stays sharp at any printed size |
Make the code at least one-tenth as wide as the distance people will scan it from, and never smaller than about 2 cm. A table-top card read from 30 cm needs a 3 cm code; a window poster read from 2 m needs a 20 cm code. With a logo, add a little extra.
The more characters you encode, the more modules the code needs, and the smaller each module becomes at a given print size. A short URL on your own domain (for example yourbrand.com/menu) produces a simpler, sturdier code than a long link full of tracking parameters. You can redirect that short URL anywhere — including a UTM-tagged campaign link — and change the destination later without reprinting.
Scan the downloaded file with two different phones, then print one copy at the final size on the final material and scan it in normal light from a realistic distance. Glossy lamination and curved surfaces like cups cause glare and distortion; size up if in doubt. Our full QR code with logo guide explains error correction and what not to cover.
