YouTube banner size: 2560 x 1440 pixels

The recommended working canvas for YouTube banner is 2560 x 1440 pixels. Upload a clean source logo, keep the artwork proportional, and export a final PNG, JPEG or WebP that matches this preset. The tool below is preloaded with the right width and height so you do not need to type the numbers manually.

Width2560 px
Height1440 px
Aspect ratio16:9

How to use this preset

  1. Open the embedded logo resizer or use the button below.
  2. Upload a PNG, JPEG or WebP logo. A transparent PNG or original SVG-derived PNG usually gives the cleanest result.
  3. Keep the logo aspect ratio locked. Change the canvas size, not the logo proportions.
  4. Add padding for circular crops or tight interface placements.
  5. Generate and download the resized file. Use PNG for transparency, WebP for smaller website files, and JPEG only for solid backgrounds.

Design notes

YouTube recommends at least 2560 x 1440 pixels for channel banner art. Do not place important text or thin logo details at the edges. Most platforms compress images after upload, and many show a smaller preview than the upload size. A centered, high-contrast mark with controlled padding usually survives the upload process better than a full-canvas logo.

For brand teams, save the file with the platform and size in the filename. A name like youtube-banner-size-2026-2560x1440.png is easier to find later than final-logo-new-new.png. If the upload still looks blurry, start from a larger source logo and export this preset again instead of enlarging a small file.
